Where do you live? It is frustrating, but you can't go to a rail yard and just pick up a truck. The dealership can't either. Trust me, I asked when mine was inbound.

Trust me, I asked when mine was inbound. My Lariat ER is sitting in a RR yard not 20 miles away from where I live, its been there for over a week, but Ford will not let my Lightning be released to my Dealership because of the Battery issue, production stoppage. I Thought I had read Ford was not stopping the sale of Lightnings just production, guess I was wrong. I had been so excited to finally get my Lightning and now I have to wait another 3 weeks. I am at the tipping point of just calling the dealership and canceling my order. Just venting....
I am in MN and it sound like you are in the same predicament as I......ugh.Where do you live? It is frustrating, but you can't go to a rail yard and just pick up a truck. The dealership can't either. Trust me, I asked when mine was inbound.![]()
I was, but I finally took delivery of mine in January. The wait was agonizing.I am in MN and it sound like you are in the same predicament as I......ugh.
hopefully yours will be smooth sailing once the battery issue has been cleared upFeel the frustration.... Especially knowing the truck is SO close. I guess if there is any silver lining it's that in the event something is wrong with the battery issue, you won't carry the burden of taking it to the dealer, who will likely not be ready to address/support and that work/responsibility will fall on ford. So when you FINALLY get your amazing truck it will be ready to go! I'm currently scheduled for 4/10 (pushed out from originally 3/27).
Got my fingers crossedYour 2023 is on hold…Ford might allow the shipment process to restart next week, if the battery doesn’t need a recall…speculation is running wild that all 2023 will be put on hold and recalled for battery fire issues.
Some articles suggest 5 weeks after Feb. 24 before the fix is in - then time to fix it so you may have 7 weeks to wait. Production is stopped and stopage for those in transit - bad luck - and unsold apparently sit too.My Lariat ER is sitting in a RR yard not 20 miles away from where I live, its been there for over a week, but Ford will not let my Lightning be released to my Dealership because of the Battery issue, production stoppage. Good luck and hope you get some good news soon. I have not heard anything definite yet on a fix only speculation. Will be interesting to see how Ford handles this situation and treats customers like you who have been waiting a long time for your truck. I waited a year for my 2022 Lariat ER with delivery in Oct '22. Worth the wait. Awesome truck. Good Luck! WaltGot my fingers crossed

Me to mine is also in a railroad yard, waited years now this 3 more weeks !!, I can really relate to your frustration, does anyone know what Ford has come up with, I know they identified the problem but what is there plan to resolve the issue. What actually changed in the production of the batteries? there seems to be some sort of rift between SK and Ford especially when they announced there building a proprietary manufacturing facility for the new technology batteries that we should see in 2026.My Lariat ER is sitting in a RR yard not 20 miles away from where I live, its been there for over a week, but Ford will not let my Lightning be released to my Dealership because of the Battery issue, production stoppage. The latest is NO ID on the problem - where is the link story for otherwise? Plus in other articles 5 weeks past Feb. 24 they may still be no production of the vehicle or solution set for frozen at a site vehicles. I hade the same experience. Truck sat at the St Paul BNSF rail yard for a few weeks before delivery to the dealer. This was before the stop shipment. Dealer had no idea when it would appear until the day before.I am in MN and it sound like you are in the same predicament as I......ugh.
Mine is in Cottage Grove BNSF auto drop-off yard, how crazy. My dealer also had no idea about the battery issues or stoppage. Not for sure they even believed me after telling them what was going on....ugh. Glad you finally got yours and hope there was no damage waiting in the RR yard for weeks.I hade the same experience.
