Has anyone moved their reservation since the closing of priortizations on Dec 8th, i should have been #2 after several trips i was told i am #27 which means my dealor chose to prioritize all 25 positions above me, i can say i am not happy especially with how much business i have given them in the last 6 years (4 vehicles). What I am wondering is if you did move your Rez, where were you put on the new dealers list?

I have the same question - many people have told me to move my reservation since my dealer is charging an ADM. But now that it's past 12/17, I'm concerned about my position in line and moving to a dealer with a smaller allocation. I know I'm #11 at my dealer (who has hundreds of reservations). I would hate to move and be way down the list at a dealer with a smaller allocation for MY22. Anybody have experience with this?

I moved. Called ford and confirmed wouldn’t change my reservation time stamp. I was #10 at largest dealer near me. Got switched and now #8 at new dealer who doesn’t charge any ADM.

I wouldn't switch until you get the invite to order. Once you get that you should be able to pick a new dealer and then also order the truck. I would imagine if you switch now you would for sure be behind the first 25 prioritized reservations.

I'm not sure the timing of your move would matter. When you move the reservation, you will get your $100 back as that is held by the local dealer. I believe (or at least in my case) My timestamp was held and I was put in the new dealers list with the original timestamp I had at the first dealer.

I called the dealer I was going to move to to find out where I would fit and how it would work. They just said to call them back once I had it moved. I had it moved, clicked on it and still had the order button, so I just proceeded to order before they could do anything to it. It asked for my $500 and I paid it. I called them the next day and they said my order was in and accepted.

YMMV.

My local dealer, Jim Tidwell Ford told me they had five allocations and I was in the first five. Today they stated they had two allocations and would not longer confirm my position, so I moved it to Allan Vigil Ford in Morrow, GA.

Allan Vigil Ford had told me it would be better to have moved my reservation earlier.

It is frustrating that Ford suggested a dealer which did not end up getting any more than two vehicles to sell. A First In, First Out system would be much more fair to the customers.

The whole allocation thing is such a mystery. And yes, it all should have been based on timing of reservation only. I ended up not moving my reservation because I was worried I would lose my place in line at another dealer or move to a dealer with a lower allocation. I think it was right choice; I got an offer to order today. My dealer told me I was #11 on his list (CA dealer with hundreds of reservations) and Ford told him he was getting 21. Not sure what to believe.

It is not transparent. It might even be a "deceptive trade practice" defined under law as "a material representation, omission or practice that is likely to mislead a consumer acting reasonably in the circumstances."

I moved BACK to the original dealership Ford set me up with. I am now #15.

They will get two this year.

It should be based on reservation timing but it is clearly based on what stat you live in. I am in TX (where 17% of F150s are sold) and most dealers are getting almost no trucks this year. Meanwhile some other states are getting lots of trucks and folks who reserved in the summer can order. People should complain to ford and take to social media in my opinion.
