Miles/kwh results?

Yesterday I drove 50 miles each way (100 mile round trip) and averaged 2.1 miles per kwh using cruise control at 74mph (negligible elevation change) and air temperature of ~45-50 degrees. Are highway numbers that much improved during the summer months or are the battery packs providing inconsistent results?
