Sherman has landed! Now to plan a road trip pulling the trailer. Lariat Trim, Extended Range battery. My thanks to Koons Silver Spring Ford/Lincoln for handling my order and "special delivery" so well!
OK, so there's another Maryland delivery. I've read that there's been deliveries to all 50 states. Any Virginians here with a delivery?

Northern Virginia delivery taken from Koons Ford, Sterling, VA.
Oxford White Lariat ER.
Reserved 5/19/21.
Ordered 1/7/22.
Build Week 5/16/22.
Blend Date 5/21/22.
Arrived at Dealer 7/3/22.
Took Delivery on 7/13/22, because I was out of town.
I actually did the entire purchase process on 6/16/22, so I've basically "owned" the truck since then. I wanted to avoid expected finance rate increases. Koons and my credit union were great about doing this, and I did, in fact, avoid a rate increase from the time the dealer received the truck and before I was able to take physical delivery after returning from my travel.
I miss out on a month of various trial periods, but that's not a big deal to me. No regrets.

No. They honored MSRP.
Originally planned on working with a dealer practically in my backyard, who's name isn't worth mentioning. However, when I got to the bottom line at the end of the online order process they were adding $10K. This after asking them the week before if they would honor MSRP, to which they said "yes". So, I even transferred my order to Koons in Sterling and never lost my place in line. Once I switched to Koons the entire process couldn't have been smoother. That other dealer appears on this sites "naughty list", as they should.

Congrats! It must have been a different koons that advertised jumping the order line for a 35k ADM.

It’s interesting how the buying experience can be so different between stores with the same owner. You’d think the Koons family would strive for some consistency. One of their stores became infamous for the ADM thing and all people remember is “Koons sucks”

Thanks. Yeah, I agree. I even questioned Koons Sterling, VA on how Koons Falls Church, VA (only about 20 miles away) gets away with that kind of business practice. And to think, I bought my 2011 F150 from Koons Falls Church and had a fine experience. Sterling told me, while all the Koons dealerships in the DMV are owned by the Koons family, they are operated independently. I think if I were in the ownership family, I'd have a little more control over a business with my name on it.
But, I can assure you, Koons Sterling, honors MSRP on all orders. They did say, they may mark up dealer inventory, but it will be a long time before any dealers have inventory of Lightnings sitting on the lots, other than their demos, which they are supposed to wait 6 months before selling.

Manager at Jerry’s Leesburg called me with a SR order quick turn a few months back… he assured me that current orders were at MSRP and not ADMs… if that changes next month when I order my ‘23 I’ll switch to Koon’s Sterling.

Good luck...It was Jerry's that told me the same thing. Then at the end of the online order process they added the $10K. When I questioned it, and reminded them that they told me the week before they would honor MSRP, I was told, "that's the GMs call".
Jerry's is already on this site's "naughty list". I wouldn't waste your time with them, and potentially your place in line.
Their service department has always been pretty good. Sales not so much.

when you switched to Koons last minute did you get to still place the order or were you delayed? I’ve purchased 3 other from Jerry’s and doubt they want to loose a repeat buyer with history… but greed is strong. Can you PM your contact at Koons?

Ok...I totally understand your loyalty. Hopefully they will treat you like a loyal customer.
The transfer was seamless. My order was placed on 1/7/2022. When I saw online that Jerry's was adding $10K, after confirming that with them, I called Ford, they moved my order to Koons. Within an hour I got a call from Koons, they confirmed MSRP, and I placed my order online with them.
As the months went by, my wife would tell you, I kept waiting for an unpleasant surprise or bad news of some kind. Yeah, the waiting is torturous, but it all went smoothly. And, it's worth the wait. The truck is pretty nice.

If you switch dealers at the time of conversion from reservation to order, there is no change in your priority: you've already been called to place your order.

The person at Koons Sterling Ford told you wrong about the ownership. Koons sold off many of their dealerships a while back. They still carry the Koons name and the Koons family seems to still be involved and get a profit. However, many of the Koons dealerships are independently owned. For example, I bought my Mach E and Lightning from Koons Ford-Mazda Silver Spring, which is owned by Alex Perdikis.
