Saw the following announced from Ford regarding Maverick reservations:

As a result, orders are scheduled in the order in which they are received, regardless of dealer, pending any capacity and commodity limitations.

I haven't seen anything about the Lightnings moving to this model. Has anyone else?

I'm sure that would relieve a lot of pre-order frustration for people. I'm late on the list (reserved Dec 2021, just before reservations closed). So if anything it would screw me, but I'd be fine with that if it makes for a more reasonable system for everyone. Instead of dealer allotments.

No word of what will happen when Ford starts working through 2023 Lightning orders but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ford do the same. They have a backlog of almost 200,000 reservations so I don’t see dealer allocations entering into the picture beyond FCTP trucks.
