Curious of long trip experience? I have a XLT SR and love it so far, works great for my needs 99% of the time. Charge at work, etc. However, I do one trip from Ohio to Colorado every year. Did it last year in my Model Y and the tesla network was fine, of course when the heat stopped working in -15F that really sucked. Out of curiosity (or crazy) I’m planning on doing this trip in January. I know it will be cold with many many charge stops but I’m not on a schedule. Hotels and extra nights are fine. I‘m going to document with video and will share. I’ve seen plenty of ER doing long trips. Wondering If I’m the first lunatic to drive cross country in an SR…. I’m thinking instead of a 22 hour trip 35-40 hours with charging not including hotel stays.

Folks have been traveling farther with shorter-range EVs for years. When road-tripping our Mustang Mach E (270 mile advertised range), I find it usually adds just an hour or so each day if you manage to charge overnight at hotels.
