Hi All,

Has anyone had the opportunity to physically locate where they have the pedestrian safety speaker that takes care of low speed artificial sound and back up beeper? I have a delete mechanism currently installed on my PowerBoost and I intend on moving it over to the Lightning (currently in production) when it arrives. The ICE trucks have it located near the lower rad support up front, but I'm curious if they've moved it due to component changes on the Lightning platform. The speaker isn't legally required in Canada and being able to silently pull out of the driveway without waking the neighbors early morning is a wonderful touch on my truck now. I'm eager to get eyes on things and see where it is.

Any help from those that already have their truck is appreciated!

I think it's worth mentioning. Even though it isn't required in Canada (yet), the fact that a Canadian plate is on the vehicle doesn't exempt you if you are driving in the US. You will be breaking the law and taking a risk if you encounter a cop that knows his stuff. There is an other thread on here talking about that speaker as well and mentions that if you unplug it it fires off an error code on your display.

I would have thought that law would have been amended to take in account all of the safety technology that avoids vehicles from colliding with pedestrians. Seems even safer than a vehicle that relies on beeping alone if a pedestrian has ear buds in.

I would just use spray foam to disable the speaker from making noise, same as the back up speaker, etc.!
