I'd like to order a Lariat when my day comes. But I do want the most premium stereo and the multicontour seats. I do not want the Platinum with bigger wheels and reduced range.

What are the chances Ford will open up more custom options next model year?

Don't wish for it. Just save your money and do an aftermarket upgrade. The 8 speaker B&O is no good and you'll get mixed reviews on who you talk to about the Unleashed system. Take that money and upgrade it after you get it.

I've never done a stereo upgrade in 30 years. After driving a Tesla though - this stereo is limp. I can see myself doing an upgrade of sorts. Not sure what it needs, but I'd be embarrassed if I were Ford or B&O and the amount of money that likely changes hands over that name.

I did stereo stuff in my vehicles when I was younger but want something more professional in this truck. Especially don't want an aftermarket head unit, which wouldn't be possible with the Ford big screen in the way. Could maybe have an audio shop put together a better system, as long as they can integrate factory controls.
I do have an Orion HCCA 12 I could put in. It'll take 4000 watts RMS.

Yeah, the stereo in the model 3 is so good. Probably has spoiled me for all future cars which kind of sucks. Before I would not have cared so much.
