Reservation: Dec 4th, 2021
Model: Lariat, extended range
Delivery: Dec 13, 2022
Location: Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

Went on the pre-order list just before it closed (Dec 2021). Figured I would be waiting 3-4 years based on the early projections.

January 2022 I transferred my reservation to another dealership (didn't like the original dealer after interacting with them). New dealer went through my build options with me at the time.

August 2022 dealer said that the truck would have a price increase as it would be (at least) at 2023 now.

Dec 12, 2022 - Dealer calls and says that the truck just random showed up on a shipment 😂

They said they weren't expecting it until mid or late next year. I didn't get a build notice from Ford, or any notices for that matter. In my Ford.ca account, under my reservation it still just says my reservation date and reservation number. With no other details.

Not sure why/how this happened, but I won't complain ❤ Picking it up later this week.

When I was doing my paperwork, the business manager also said that it's been a free-for-all with Lightning deliveries. They aren't receiving them in any sort of order. They even had someone come and place an order that WASN'T on the reservation list and they got their truck. Despite the dealership already having a backlog of pre-orders from the reservation list.

I'll post some proper pics once I have it and it's properly cleaned.

Orders showing up like that may depend on trim level. What trim is your truck? SR or ER?
I noted at the top of my post. It's a Lariat extended range. So I feel like that's probably in with the majority of reservations 🤷‍♂️

Whatever the reason. I won't complain. Looking forward to driving this beauty off the lot.

I was bummed to see the heated steering wheel removal though. As someone who's basically cold blooded, that and heated seats are my life 😂

newmarket been getting a lot it seems see them all over including mine!! That's about $10300 more than I paid
Ya, Ford increased the price by $10k for any builds after September I think. Sucks I came in after that, but oh well.. I wasn't buying this vehicle because it was cheap 😂

Dang they took you to the cleaners, 21000 over sticker. My '23 is 89400.
I see @Russr already pointed out, but my pricing is Canadian Dollars. I paid the exact sticker price. No markup.

Wow, power running boards! This is the first I have seen from factory. Can you post some more pics and/or short video of them?
Sure. I'm picking it up on Saturday.

When I sat down with the dealer in Feb to spec out what I would want, they were an option in their dealership configurator. I told them to add them, thinking they wouldn't make the cut.. as they didn't give this an option publicly on Ford's website. But, when it arrived on the lot and I went to visit, I heard the sound as soon as I got close enough with the key

Picked up today and took a video for ya.

I don't notice a difference from my deployable running boards from my last F150. But then again, I can't say that I paid any attention to them on my last truck

Picked her up today 🥳

Only snapped on pic when I picked up my daughter from my parent's place. By the time we got home weather was shit. So glamour shots will have to wait for another day 😄

Something that I noticed and wasn't expecting though, is that it came with the under-seat storage in the backseat. When I spec'd the order with the dealer we specifically didn't add that option, as I fold up the backseat for my dog and prefer the continuous/flat floor. Not a deal breaker as I'll just get a mat to cover it up, but surprised me. Not sure if they are just defaulting to all of them having that option or not?

You missed it in the details. The folding storage is standard in the Lariat ER.

When our dog is in the truck, I just fold the seats up, the storage down, and toss in her bed. The doesn't care about the slightly raised rear section.
