I think the larger screen draws attention and looks more usable, at a distance, but it seems that many are acknowledging that larger is not necessarily better. For many of us, tactile buttons and knobs are what we know, what we are used to, and what we prefer. That may seem old-school to newer, younger technologically advanced engineers, but fiddling with a 'screen', which takes your eyes off the road, and requires 'specific/exacting' placement of your finger, is not what I consider 'safe'.
Size is not better, practicality is.
I'm always annoyed, and yet amazed, that while you can access almost ANYTHING on the truck's center screen, WHILE DRIVING, you CAN'T access the NAVIGATION while underway, to input a destination, address, or location you want to navigate to, INCLUDING chargers at a location well ahead of you. Yes, you can see 'some' items that Ford 'allows' you to see, but it's a VERY LIMITED number, and many times trying to scroll DOWN to see more give you that annoying 'This Information Is Not Available While Driving' message - crazy. You can do everything you wish, except what you WANT to do!
I can play with and fiddle with the radio, no problem. I can play with and fiddle with drive modes and many settings, yet I can't do other things because it 'might' distract me... interesting. Aggravating.
