Hey everyone,

I'm on the Fleet side of the Ford world and like many of you, have been following every little piece of information on when the order banks will finally open. We received a very informal e-mail this week from our rep about the Super Duty, but tucked in that same message was a note about the Lightning order bank going live in January, with the production weeks still holding steady for June.

If we get more concrete information, I'll be sure to let you know!

Hey @LightningJ welcome to the forum! Fingers crossed that the email you guys received is accurate. Are you planning on getting a Lightning yourself?

Just heard the same thing from a Florida dealer via another forum. My guess is the sooner the Build Back Better act is passed, the sooner we get prices and ordering.

Built Back Better bill may determine the pricing of the Lightning with the Lariat and Platinum options as well for the other options. It all depends if some will get $7500 tax credit or the $12500 tax credit. Will see. Ford doesn't want to disappoint any of the customers who choose the Lariat and Platinum orders. I am one of them. Patience. I had to do that with my Mach E. Hopefully will have a date to turn our reservations into orders. I am tired of pumping gas. One tank fill up is two(2) months worth of charging my Mach E.

Another e-mail this week confirmed end of January, production week still on schedule for June. And yep! Was going to go with the Pro model but had the same reaction as many when I saw that the extended range battery is limited to Fleet customers on the Pro. XLT it is!

If it's not directly from Ford to us reservation holders, it cannot be trusted.
Yeah, like I mentioned in my post I was just sharing information I had received as someone who does the Government bids and fleet work for our dealership. I've got several cities and municipalities that are just as antsy as y'all. Considering how October came and went without a whisper from Ford on a shared date, this was the first real information I received about the Lightning actually having a ordering timeline.

The October date was also "leaked" by a dealer. Ford has never stated a date other than "Fall". The last day of fall is December 21st.

Conversations discussing a delayed October date are simply complaints that a rumor was false. Whatever.

As for the Oct 26th date, we’ll if it was a rumor, my dealership fell for it. They texted me a few times to get ready to build my Lightning on Oct 26th.
And then by email

Hi Gavin,

The wait is over! The F-150 Lightning order bank is now open. By now you should have also received a detailed email from Ford stating that you can now begin the ordering process.

The next step is scheduling an appointment to place your order. Please call or email me directly to set an appointment. Additionally, I will continue to provide any updates that Ford provides to us. I will be your Point of Contact each step of the way until the truck is finally in your driveway.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you!

Best regards,
Followed by this when I said I hadn’t received my letter from ford yet

yes. the ordering banks haven't quite opened up yet unfortunately, working on technical issues with the site they were hoping to have it up and running by the 26th. they are trying to get it up running soon, but we might be looking closer to end of november going into december. I'll keep in touch and let you know as soon as its available. Have you gotten a reservation # yet?

How have you placed a model order? I ordered o line on the 19th May and it was just a reservation. Was never given a model choice.

I work at a dealer in Orange County, Ca and we have yet to hear anything from our Ford rep. But January makes sense. I had over 40 appointments from the 28th of Oct. to the 31st, and had to let all of them know that the banks were being pushed back. So I cant wait to hear news on them opening.
