I've got a few questions as I've been playing around with the configurator on the Ford website.
1. Am I correct in seeing that power running boards aren't on option? Not even on the Platinum? I really enjoy mine on my current F150 even if they do require a little extra care, but I do hope this can be an option on future Lightnings.
2. I'm having difficulty when building a Lariat trim to option the tailgate step. It doesn't appear to be an option, or it's just included and doesn't state it. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Sean

As my dealer was confirming my order and checking it; he even asked me to take the spray-in bedliner off as that is also a material shortage option. Someone can always spray that locally; so I took it off on his advice.

I didn't hear about the bedliner issue. I hope that doesn't slow up my order, but I am partial to the factory spray-in since it has the logo in the front of the bed. Yes, I'm picky.

Now you have given me food for thought. I do like OEM specifics like that. This is my first truck and have no clue about trucks in general! But the F150 Lightning captured by imagination as I wait for the CyberTruck :)

I wonder if the no power running boards is a weight savings choice.

Was also curious about the tailgate step. Could not find it as an option. Sure would like to have it if available. Dealer told me the tonneau cover would be a dealer installed option.
Tailgate step is an option on the Pro. I ordered tow tech, max tow, bedliner, and tailgate step. Hopefully in wave 1 they will have everything. Tow tech could cause issues, I know GM can’t get brake controllers right now.

You would think for how much you're paying for that Lariat, they would include the tailgate step  maybe its because that one comes with power up/down tailgate and maybe they can't put both on one tailgate? (just spitballing here)

I always assume others obsess over things like I do. But it should have the step. It makes no sense it wouldn't especially since all the other things are on the tailgate. Checkout the link below, one reviewer and he specifically pops out the handle step system Ford already uses. The trim level he's looking at is the Platinum, but I don't see why at least the Lariat wouldn't have it. (it is set to start when he opens it)
