So has anyone actually ordered and then received a new Lightning yet? So disappointed in Ford for the slow roll out. I have officially been waiting for a year now to order. I reserved the truck in June 21 now it will be 2023 before I even get to order it.

Pretty much most of the MY22 soon to be owners reserved it on Day 1 on 5/19/2021 at the launch presentation.

Yes, I picked up mine today and drove it home. I ordered it within the first hour or so. It’s been a long wait, sure but that’s the way for now.

I rather they take their sweet time refining the process than having the MY22 owners be the paying beta testers.

Yes, you probably will have to wait until 2023 to order a 2024. You have over 100,00 people ahead of you in line.

Yeah seriously what an absolute mess that Explorer rollout was...I felt so bad for anyone that had an order for one of those.

I ordered mine as soon as the Lightning ordering website went live. I feel very fortunate to get a 2022 "wave 3" reservation. Mine supposedly goes into production the week of July 25th.

The OP is trying to vent some frustration about the wait, I get it. I’m so excited, I can’t imagine how I would feel if I wasn’t in-line to get one soon. On the flip side, you get the benefit of refinement in a later model

It would be different if Ford hadn't said in Spring 2021 that we could reserve now, order in the Fall and have it delivered in the Spring 2022.... I reserved my pickup in June 2021 (a month later) and it takes an additional year or two?

It's a tough road to ride. I may have to change my username. How about the alternative? Go buy a cybertruck or lordstown motors.
Personally I think battery production is going to face major supply challenges.

It’s not like there’s a pandemic, supply chain meltdown, and a worldwide chip and parts shortage on a new model being manufactured in a new assembly plant. Model year 2022 production pretty much got reserved on 5/19/21.

Very few pics sadly. But, I’ll say… it’s better than I expected. It’s so smooth, it’s too fast (not for “me”, but in general) and it’s slightly floaty. Looking forward to a few small mods to make it everything

Congrats on the new truck! Is that the Oxford White or the Star White Metallic? It looks like the Oxford White in the daytime photos but I was thrown off with the night photos and couldn't tell if it was the Star White.
