"So after going up to the dealer this morning, it looks like they cannot place the orders until you receive your VIP email. They said the emails should be out today. Maybe they're buying themselves a little bit of time to make sure everything gets sent out and deal with customers tomorrow.

Is there a way to calculate payments for the Lightning with Ford Special program ( like the one of the Mach E ?

Ford hasn't told us anything about this. I like how the customers know more about the ordering process than the dealer.

Because we as buyers and enthusiasts are invested in the process, and the dealers aren't. Most will get allocated between 0 and 2 Lightnings for 2022. It's not a decimal point to their business.

I want the Extended Range battery but just not necessary considering the $19k price tag on the XLT. I want the Antimatter blue standard range XLT. Was reading an article about installing 80A charger in the garage after taking delivery despite not having ER battery.

Is that 11 month delay going to affect the ability to get the Federal Tax Credit of $7500? That would be a huge loss.

If you're impatiently waiting to hear from Ford that you're one of the lucky few who won the Lightning Lottery and actually get to order a truck today... keep being patient.

A Ford contact (friend of the site) just let us know that emails won't be going out until after 5 pm EST.

I never received the email, but when I went to ford.com and signed it to my reservation page it allowed me to order my Lightning.

Congrats. I ended up going with the Lariat+. I wasn't too sure of the value of the tow package, but I ended up picking it anyways.

I went with the Platinum since my wife said it'd have to have massage seats like our trade in has.
