I had the paint removed from the flat vertical surface of the light bar and left it on the slanted areas. I‘m trying to decide whether to leave it as is or use lens tint to cover it.
I had mine painted, although it was supposed to be thin enough that the light still came through. He used clear coat with a little black mixed in. He put too many coats on so it blocked 99% of the light. I had him remove the paint on the vertical surface of the light bar while leaving it on the slanted surfaces. It gives a more slim line look to the light bar.The light bar has paint on it? I am not sure I follow.
It looks like he had paint work done on the grill, which is more interesting then the lightbar mod.this truck confuses me - did you modify a regular F150 and added the light bar and headlights?!

I ended up painting mine. They called it "smoke." Looks black during the day and yellow at night when lighted up due to the black paint inside. The shop took off all the lights and painted the inside. I LOVE It during the day (all black truck) but looks a little weak at night. But I still prefer it black.I like what you're doing here. I hate the light bar. Looks like a plastic toy. Did you consider tinting it vs. paint? I'd like to get mine tinted but the tint shop I went to said it would be tough w/o a custom tint dimension for the lighting. I took it somewhere else but they didn't seem to know what they were doing either. Thoughts?
