I’m still a bout a week out from my installation date for the FCP station and in the interim have been using DC fast chargers and a level 2 at work without any issues. It’s been cold the last few nights and I have noticed an impact on range and available battery (gauge on the left of the battery gage). So I got out the fire mobile charger and thoughts I would see if I could pre-condition on 120V and help with the cold weather. Got it setup and plugged in and charge starts, but after about 5-10 min I get an alert on Ford Pass app saying the truck is plugged in but not charging and the mobile charger lights has switched from blue to yellow. No breakers are tripped and the gfi outlet is still ok. If I unplug the charger it starts over and initiates but then I’m about 5 min it switches to yellow and stops charging…not a big issue as the FCP will be installed soon and I’m ok on daily range, just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue, if I’m doing anything wrong, and/or if this is a precursor to issues I’ll have with the FCP.

After having no issues using my mobile charger with a 120 GFI last summer as soon as the fall rains started I experienced the same problem. My conclusion is that the GFI is sensitive to moisture when there is a heavy power draw. I can run the shop vac 24/7 without any problems.

I had issues with mine when hanging from the plug. If you are able to support the box independently it might work better.
