I just received my invitation to order!! So exciting since I put in my order in 5/25/21. I’m trying to keep the order under $85k for the full federal government rebate. If I order the XLT ER, I am a few thousand under the limit. My problem is, I really wanted the towing packages, but that $2400 for tow package and max towing put it just over $85k. Think I could get that as an aftermarket later? Any other thoughts?

Still hurts my feelings. Maybe they'll adjust for the 10% inflation🤞though there is nothing even proposed to do this except my lonely request to Senator Warnock asking him to add it to some bill he is sponsoring to get our GA foreign manufacturers to qualify.

Really sucks bc it kicks the money out of pocket for the ER range upgrade to $18k, vice $11k.

Unless the situation has changed, the lightning may only be eligible for $3,750 tax credit next year rather than $7500 if the battery manufacturing requirement stick, so the difference between ER and SR may not be quite so big.

As of today, the IRS has weighed in:

Q3. How will I know what the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) is for a vehicle? (added December 29, 2022)
A3. The MSRP will be on the vehicle information label attached to each vehicle on a dealer's premises. The MSRP for this purpose is the base retail price suggested by the manufacturer, plus the retail price suggested by the manufacturer for each accessory or item of optional equipment physically attached to the vehicle at the time of delivery to the dealer. It does not include destination charges or optional items added by the dealer, or taxes and fees.
