To comment on my own post, I'm actually very happy that Ford decided to send an email like this out. At least now I know there is a definite plan on when to expect to order.
I was supposed to be prioritized by my dealer because I provided them with so much information on the order process that they did not know. But I think they missed the deadline to get their list in on December 17 on time. I made a very late reservation (mid November, about 160,000 back) so now it's wait until 2023, or maybe 2024. I'm good for about a year but if it's not looking good by then I'll have to go another direction. May just end up going with the Powerboost instead.
Congratulations to everyone who was able to get their orders in today. Bummer about the Pro being sold through though...

Sorry to hear it's been pushed out but at the same time, it's nice to have some closure for this year! At least you know for sure you're not able to order this year.

I know I'm not going to order this year, but I really don't know and it's going to drive me mad.

Yeah it's much better than being left in the dark for months wondering if they even received your reservation.

That's interesting. I placed my reservation around the same time as you (November, after around 160,000 reservations), so I'm fully expecting to have to wait to order/receive a Lightning. But I didn't receive the email you did about waiting until the Fall.

Has anyone else received the email about waiting until Fall?

I wasn't able to order, that was my point. I was notified I'd receive more info about ordering in the fall. Not necessarily that I could order in the fall, but that I would receive more information.
My plan was to order a Lariat ER if I had been given the chance.
