Anyone informed enough to help me interpret the different messages in the order UI? On the main selection screen, it shows PRO as SOLD OUT and the others with Estimated Delivery 24+ Weeks (first screenshot below). However, if you click View Details for the XLT, Lariat or Platinum, there is a SOLD OUT message on the next pop-up (second screenshot below). Are they all sold out?

Did you click the view details button? That is what it perhaps looks like. Go ahead and click the Start your build and see what you get. The Pro is definitely sold out from the last wave, the other 3 models should all have availability and let you order.

What is the website address that you used? At 2pm PST today, we rec'd the "order Your F-150 Lightning Now" email and we were able to order an XLT w/ std battery with 312 package.

Seems a little bait and switchy to me.
They start at $39k but oh sorry we're all sold out of those.
No different than a concert ticket. X amount of product available at a certain price point. They did offer some at 39k and they were snapped up. Remaining inventory sells for more because it offers more (concert example is closer to stage/better view/etc)

Contrary to a concert where there is a limited number of seats at a certain price, Ford hasn't built/delivered a single Lightning pro yet. How can something that hasn't been built yet, not be available anymore...

Just like you buy that seat to the concert a few months before the music begins to play. Some seats may no longer be available, so you'll opt for something else. Then you all still show up later to hear the music together.

Also like buying that airline ticket and even choosing the seat far in advance. Something might happen and the airline changes the plane model used for that flight. Oops, seats are different now.

That's one thing to love about LUV. ;)

Well, I guess they could bump a few C folks, if they have to substitute 737 models.
