Ford CEO Jim Farley has said that the Lightning is sold out for the next 2-3 years! They stopped taking reservations at 200,000 vehicles.
Yep!! pile up inflation and I could easily see Lariats @$100kI wonder how many reserved one just to flip it soon after delivery. Calling it now, we're going to see some crazy markups on pre-owned Lightnings with the way things are currently.
Love to see the number of abandoned reservations after the credit expires at the end of TY2023I wonder how many reserved one just to flip it soon after delivery. Calling it now, we're going to see some crazy markups on pre-owned Lightnings with the way things are currently.
Yeah, on the bright side, real owners will have 2-3 years of their vehicles valuation appreciating before slowly coming back to fair value.Yep!! pile up inflation and I could easily see Lariats @$100k
You will have to sign a Legal Document stating you cannot sell the Vehicle for 12 monthsI wonder how many reserved one just to flip it soon after delivery. Calling it now, we're going to see some crazy markups on pre-owned Lightnings with the way things are currently.
This document is legal in all states, NY for oneYou will have to sign a Legal Document stating you cannot sell the Vehicle for 12 months
Right, they did something similar with the Ford GT.You will have to sign a Legal Document stating you cannot sell the Vehicle for 12 months
very hard to enforce…I guarantee people will be flipping Lightnings for outrageous prices. You will have to sign a Legal Document stating you cannot sell the Vehicle for 12 months
Yes, so I have to sign a document that says I am not allowed to sell property I own. That's extremely un-American. it's a slap in the face of capitalism.... the whole legality around the issue is dubious -
WOW, sounds like additional legislation is needed to bar this process, which could introduce safety issues.Could Ford simply disable via an over the air update?
Certainly, it might not be tolerable to the buyer, they can walk and the next buyer will accept the hold, IMHO, I plan to own my Lightning for 10 years, but "STUFF" happens, If I dropped the day after or before the 365th day of getting the truck, my wife would want to sell it, I'd like that to be an acceptable waivable condition.I don't know a lein will be tolerable for cash buyers.
Seems likely it would be a term of the sales contract. No doubt binding arbitration is required and the arbitrator works at the pleasure of the dealers. So if they push this there won't be any recourse through the courts.
