I’m still learning this forum, and just saw the wave 2 thread below the sticky’s. Feel free to merge this with that one to reduce clutter

I never got the wave one email, but I logged on to my Ford account at 4pm Central and the order was open. I got a text about an hour and a half later saying that ordering was open, but my order was already accepted by the dealer.

Is "wave 2" when I'm allowed to place an order from my dealer? or does it means something else?
Sorry for the newb post.

Thats what they are telling me, have not seen anything yet, I orders on 05/20/21 8am, how about you?

Me too. I had logged into my ford.com account shortly before 4 central and was able to place my order. A few hours later I received an email and then received a text even later. So my order is placed and accepted by my dealer now. Now just waiting for production or production delays at this point.
Check your reservation pages!
Pro already sold out though. Had to extend my reservation…

Just ordered mine today. I haven't received my email yet from Ford, but happened to be on Ford.com and it said "Configure and Order" so I went for it. Pro is sold out so I went with the XLT. The production estimate is 24 weeks out. My reservation number became my order number. The dealer called me yesterday to tell me I was in today's wave. Good luck.

Congrats on the order. I saw a Facebook group or two explode, some very disappointed people about the Pro being sold out. I agree Ford should just have just left the low end models off initial year vs offering just a handful. It's just going to complicate the production line and now - hack off a lot of their customers.

Do you mind sharing or recall where you saw the 24 weeks out for production? Does it still show in your account or just once during the order process?

Thanks.
Look at my photo. It has those numbers on the configuration selection.

In the Configure and Build, when the 4 models are displayed. Under each model. For the Pro it shows sold-out and gives you the option to extend your reservation. For the other 3 models, it shows production (est) in 24+ weeks.

Thanks @Cutler03GT and @TadCurious I was looking at my own page. I don't get those messages when i go to the build and Price page, it must be due to being lucky enough to have an order already in. Thanks for the clarification.

I am so torn....man these get expensive quickly.....XLT or Lariat....I'm already at $73K with the XLT extended range....I've gotta think that extended battery is gonna be key for resale value.....Any thoughts?

same here no question that big battery is going to be what everyone wants the question is will impact the resale value will we be able to get more on the back side? great question I guess we have to look at Tesla sales and see how the big batteries do on the used side?

I think Ford knew it and did it as they did to push most to the Lariat. If you are already at $73 on the XLT you are only about $7K from the extended battery and you get the 511A package that gives you almost every option available.

I could not myself go another $12K for the Platinum and lose range to only add massaging/upgraded leather seats, 10 more B&O speakers in my head rests and 22" wheels.

I know it is a lot of money, but if resale is what you are after the Extended range and 511A is well worth $7K.

I will add a little perspective here for resale. I have two 2018 Tesla Model 3's. Identical other than color and one is RWD and the other is dual motor AWD. Both have the long range battery, both even have FSD purchased. The RWD only has 15K miles, the AWD has 30K miles. However when pricing through Carvana and a few of the services to get a price on them they are offering more than $10K more for the AWD over the RWD. Priced new it is only an $5K upgrade. In the used market it seems they want all the options.
