Thanks

That's what I assumed, but since nothing changes, this indicator seemed more like an ornament than anything useful. Does the manual tell you when one should be concerned?

BTW, the "Owners Manual" seems pretty suspect. When I look up terms like: "preconditioning" or "recommend max charge level", I get garbage.

They’re much like any other temp gauges, normal is between the guidelines in the center. They don’t change much because the cooling systems are designed for towing. Efficient electric drive systems create much less heat than combustion vehicles where ~70% of the energy from the fuel is dissipated as waste heat.

It's battery and motor temp. They should be in the middle and don't seem to fluctuate too much.

The owners manual has all of the info.
You'll get a warning if there is an issue. Otherwise, those gauges are effectively "dummy" gauges.
I called them an ornament; maybe distraction would have been a better term. I like clean interfaces. This one would be cleaner w/o these silly icons.

Someone said, "it's in the manual". With the Lightening, I don't have a clue what that means. The screen access to the manual is clearly a work in progress. In this case, try searching for: "motor temp" or "battery temp" for that matter.
