Building date week of 8/8 and sitting on "chip hold" at Ramp 51 currently. Waiting on a carbonized grey Lariat with the extended battery. Painful knowing it's just sitting in a lot.

It’s a Lariat with SR battery. I have an 2018 F150 that I’m replacing. Mostly use it for commuting and my office has a commercial charger, free for employees.

Interesting. How were you able to chat with someone at Ford? At ford.com? My dealership here in NY is literally useless and has been zero help.

Try Ford Chat, that’s where I got my chip hold info, just needed the vin.

Same situation, Lariat ER max tow, Blend date 8/30. On Chip hold, delivery expected 9/16. (I assume that is chip delivery date not delivery to dealer)

My ETA is 9/19-9/26 just to get out of production not sure how long after that to take delivery, hopefully not too long!

So, my understanding via Ford is "expected delivery" is related deliver of the vehicle which will likely get pushed down the road. There is no expected installation provided for the chip delivery, unfortunately. An added concern is the frieght strike that may occur next week...

Great, one more issue to slow down the process! I’m trading my truck in and every month that goes by it depreciates and the lightning (net) costs me more out of pocket.

Just an update that my truck was considered "Built" yesterday meaning the chip hold has been released and it ready to ship. Hope others are seeing the same progression.

Mine was built Sept 2 and is on a chip hold. Fords internal system the dealer looks at has a ETA in mid-October a 2 week shift later than the initial ETA. So I do have an ETA and will see if that stays solid. Given the average shipping time of 3-4 weeks, I will know within a few weeks. But then will need to not have a railroad strike!

That is too bad. My salesman emails me weekly with copy of their internal status data. Your dealer has into, sit on them!

Just an update that my truck was considered "Built" yesterday meaning the chip hold has been released and it ready to ship. Hope others are seeing the same progression.

I would not get excited. Mine had built but then in a week was on Chip hold. I hope you get a shipped notice though.

Mine had 8/4 into production and no update since then. Dealer told me it was on 'chip hold'. Don't have a date yet. Platinum editiion.
