Hi all thx for adding me to the forum. I’m waiting to have my 2022 Lightning XLT order filled but this week my dealer in Canada said it will now have to be filled with a 2023 and cost an additional $15k Cdn. Why is the 2022 price protection only being offered in the US?

That is a question for Ford Canada and I haven't seen any indication they have shared their reasoning.

Possibly good news.

My Ford dealer just contacted me apparently Ford is now honoring Canadian 2022 Lightning pre order prices on orders that have transitioned to 2023.

I have not seen the details yet, I will post when I have more information.
