I get the Active Air Dam fault when I accelerate fast on the highway, otherwise all good! I had an existing charger in our garage with 40A service for my wife’s Audi, so I just use hers once or twice a week overnight. Couldn’t be happier!
I get that error too. If I know I am going to gun it, I will switch to Sport mode, but really, I never know when I need to accelerate fast. I don't like driving around in sport mode, so maybe that active air dam should just stay open or whatever.

Only Ford issue I'm having is the active air dam fault, but I haven't been able to pin down when it happens.... pretty sure I've been just cruising along at 75mph on BlueCruise... but it's only happened once in the past 2-3 months and 2-3 times before that. Took delivery in late August and have a bit over 6k miles on the odometer.

My only other issue is with another driver who rear-ended me. I was allowing BlueCruise to slow me down so I'm hoping it wasn't because brake lights didn't come on, but if I was in my old ICE Silverado I'd have been coasting so they wouldn't have been on then, either. New tailgate and bumper are in but the ins company says they want to replace the hitch, too, and that hasn't arrived.

Hopefully not jinxing my so far trouble-free experience I've had beefs about the cold weather range but my Lightning has been great so far - though if you browse this forum, seems like many Lightnings owners are experiencing major issues Curious with this Poll to see what's the experience of most owners:
All good here dig dig dig my ride

My first EV and first full size truck. No issues with my Lariat ER since Nov 2022. Just returned from the Mexican border, over 3,000 mile adventure. I tried to stay off interstates whenever possible. It's just more fun and relaxing for me, other than finding fast DC charging. Did noticed the air damn fault warning. Will look into that.
Very happy, or should say thrilled and I would buy it again.

Over 5k miles since Nov, 22, 2022. Greatest major purchase I've ever had. Only one issue was Fordpass disconnecting with truck. Pulled and replaced fuse 32. No problem since knock on wood. Love this truck and tell my wife everyday.
Get an appointment for the update 23-2050. This will correct the FordPass connection issue as it will happen again to you unless you get this update.

So far flawless except the software is sketchy and updates remain a complete mystery. Some folks seem like they get updates all the time, while I omly got one to 4.1.1, and it did not change anything that I can see.

I have had my Lightning since August. No complaints. I used to pack our Toyota Rav-4 up to the gills with work equipment and couldn't see out the back window. Now I have room to spare and can charge batteries, run lights, etc. while on the job. I can also pull up to difficult terrain and launch and land my drone from the bed without any dust/dirt getting kicked up.
My daughter drives our Rav-4, about $300 a month for gas, Lightning is way less.
I guess my only issue is the turning radius. I have been told that is because it is all-wheel drive. However, I prefer to have an all-wheel drive.

Had trouble with SunRun but my truck has been aces.
Didn’t download the first week but no problems Spence.
Love my truck. Lariat with the big battery, I charge at 20% and run in the low 300s.

I've had a few hiccups with Ford Pass, but nothing that I'd consider anywhere close to an impactful problem. Happy with this truck so far. 2023 Lightning Pro with approx. 1200 miles (just a baby).

Yes, I concur. Great Thread! Thank you for posting it.
We have to remember to stay positive in such a negative world.
I hope the 5% that are having major problems get their rigs repaired soon (and to their satisfaction) and can soon enjoy their Lightnings too.

I am disappointed that my Lightning did not automatically give me time off work to go camping! Although it is possible that is not Ford's fault 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mine has a few minor issues, like any very complicated new vehicle seems to at first. Try owning an RV!

Really the only major thing is charging; Still waiting to get my 80A Ford charger installed, and the Ford charging cord went bad back in late January. So I couldn't drive it into town one day, which threw a wrench into plans. Thank God for Amazon being able to get a different, better charger out fast! 2 days later I was back on the road. Also had a nightmare Christmas working away from home, trying to find a fast charger in a decently sized town that had none (except Tesla, of course). That was frustrating, as it cut into my sleep time a lot, charging at slow chargers.

But the truck itself is the most fun I have every had just driving, especially on freeways, hand's free. And does everything I need it to do as a truck. I can't see getting another gas truck ever again. Of course I don't tow heavy bulky trailers, so I don't grudge them needing a gas truck, either.

I had thought I might miss the the roar of the engine winding up, but nope, not a bit. Now I have Super Stealth Speed, silently ripping away from the lumbering dinosaur burners in my rear-view mirror...😄 It is possible I will have to replace tires sooner than I did on my other trucks...

As for the OTA updates or console this, blah blah blah. It's a sweet driving power beast that happens to have a screen. If I wanted to just look at a screen, I'd just stay home. I got things to do, places to see, and a sweet Lightning to get me there!

22 Platinum, no real issues other that a software update on the GOM and continuous Active Air Dam failures. almost 11k miles since July and it has been great. It is refreshing since I had a Jag I-Pace for almost 3 years, with about 6 months of those in the shop due to issues and getting parts.
