Is anybody charging other vehicles with their Charge Station Pro?

I have a Charge Station Pro on the way to be installed soon. I have a Tesla Model 3 that I want to charge with my charger, but so far it looks like there's no direct path from the Ford (CCS) to Tesla (J1772). Some quick research has found some suuuuper expensive adapters - Almost more expensive than just getting a second charger installed! I was wondering if anybody is charging non-Fords with their Charge Stations and if so, how?

Good to know. Can you control when and how much charge goes into the Rivian, the polestar or whatever you are charging from that vehicle or it’s software ? Or it just charges until you unplug it. I’m only asking because the charge station pro is not entirely predictable with the vehicle it’s supposed to be paired to so I am wondering how it would interface with 3rd party vehicles

Ford makes one of the best trucks on the planet, but the verdict is still out on its BEV technologies and it’s software applications (isn’t it fun being a guinea pig)

The FCSP seems to work as a dumb charger, and apparently abides by the parameters of the car it is charging...
the Rivian controlled it and throttled it down to something near 40 amps and shut it off at 85% as the Rivian was programmed....
Nothing shows on FordPass app either, so no control or monitoring from the app
I've only did this twice and only with the Rivian, so I am no expert... Your results may vary
The FCSP is not the charger it is the power source for the onboard charger that is in your vehicle.

I am purchasing another J1772 adapter to Tesla. I will trim to fit the CCS1 and will let you know if it works. The adapter below is certified for 80 amps which is exactly what I need!
Hello Can you pls let me know if you were able to charge Tesla with Ford charging station pro. My Tesla came with J plug adapter but it won’t slide/fit into the Ford J plug ending

Try this: CCS Charger Adapter for Tesla (Black) | Lectron — Lectron EV (ev-lectron.com)

No, it won't. The adapter is for DC charging, which uses the pins differently than the AC charger you're trying to use it with.
Hi Everyone, need to jump in on this...So I have my Lightning (it's great btw) and the Ford Charger Pro installed. All is working well in that regard. My wife has an Audi Q5e (plug in hybrid) and it has a J1772 plug. I have read as much as I can about charging a non-Ford car with the Ford Pro charger (there's not much on it). But the Ford site does say it can charge other EV's, but it stops short of mentioning anything else, or how to make this work. I have phoned Ford and spoken to several different cust agents, and as soon as I mention a non-ford vehicle, they instantly say I can't give you any advice as we are not able to provide info for other EVs. Fair enough, whatever. So here's what I've done so far, and what is happening. I have purchased an aftermarket J1772 extension cord. I shaved off the bottom nub so it allows the CCS Ford charger plug to attached properly (The DC plugs at the bottom of the male CCS plug just overhand the female J1772. This modification scared me a bit, but I phyiscally confirmed the DC terminals inside the charger were not connected to anything). At this point, I'm able to now plug the J1772 extension cord into the Audi plug. This is where things stop working...the Ford charger recognizes that it's plugged into an EV, but it quickly disconnects or stops charging and flashes a fault. In about 2 seconds, it tries again, and then faults out. It continues to cycle through like this again and agian, until I unplug the Audi. I don't know if the Audi is the problem or if the charger is the problem. I went as far as to down-rate the charger to 32A (the audi charger goes at 40A) so I know the charger isn't trying to push too much power. Now I also read that in the FordPass app, that you need to grant 'access' to other EV's, although I'm not able to find this in the FordPass app on my phone. One of the Ford cust agents said that I needed to add another Ford EV to the app, and then I would be able to grant access to charge that car, but again, as soon as I said I was wanting to grant access for a non-Ford EV, they stopped talking. So I'm at a loss frankly. I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this and had success charging a non-ford EV. (I realize there's a lot of talk about Tesla's, I happen to have an Audi). If I can give any advice or warning, if you're thinking of trying to get a Ford EV and Ford pro charger, and want to charge another non-Ford EV, think twice about the Ford charger, and maybe go with another aftermarket charger! Cheers and thanks for reading this...

It was working fine with my wife's Mercedes EQB for about a month and a half, then all of a sudden stopped working (weekend of March 17th). It clicks like it's turning on, then about 20 seconds later makes another click and the EQB says there is an error with charging. I think it is a software issue. On the phone the ford support person told me there was a software update pushed to the charger the same weekend its stopped working on my wife's car, but will still charge my lightning.

The support person told me the charger is getting an overheating error code, but the EQB never starts charging and its max pull is 11kw which is lower than the max of the FCSP. I've turned down the charger to 48 amps, also went into the EQB and set it to a max of 8amps, still got the same issue.
Great news! It works on first connection now on 2023 Telsa Model Y with latest update in April 2023. I don't have an F150 lightning. I bought a Charge Station Pro in Dec. 2022 anticipating a Lyriq with 19.2kW charging. But, i fell into the Tesla January trap and bought a 2023 Model Y (which I do love). I would always have to plug and unplug 3 to 5 times for the Tesla to start charging. This was annoying for scheduled middle of the night charging. Fast forward to mid April. After latest Tesla update, the Model Y now starts charging on 1st connection. 5 out of 6 times, charging started after 1 click on the charger. One time, it clicked four times (see video below), but it did not require disconnect. No more plugging and unplugging! I'm stoked!

Did you have to customize the Tesla adapter?
Did you have to customize the Tesla adapter?
Yes, I used a dremel tool to trim one side of a j1772 adapter. CCS adapter doesnt work.

Sped up video showing it work on 1st connection. The Charge Station Pro did do 3 clicks instead of 1 this time. But still, no more disconnect/reconnects.
