Hi everybody,

I started getting a weird electrical hum from the driver's side. It sounds like it is coming from under the truck. It doesn't happen every day and usually starts if I haven't charged the truck in a few days.

I made sure that everything inside the truck was off. Climate controls were turned off as well as the radio. I notice the hum the most when the truck is turned on but parked. Driving sounds tend to drown out the hum. If I drive for a few miles, turn the truck off and then on again the hum will go away.

I am not sure if this is normal or something I should be concerned about. My truck seems to have picked up this hum in the last couple of weeks.

Most likely the electric heater.

Hi. I had the same noise (driving me nuts). I was told by the Ford dealer mechanics that this is likely the cooling pump for the battery and they heard this on another dealer truck. I made a tread called Whining Noise (as I didn't see yours)
