My interior dome lights don’t come on automatically when I open any of the doors. According to the manual they should.
i can manually turn them on and off so I know they work.
i have looked at every menu option but cannot figure this out. Anyone else with this problem?

Good morning! Could you send over a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your dealer so that I can look into this interior light concern for you? Thank you!

it's a button you need to press, not a configuration - check your manual again and you will find what you need to do...I ran into the same issue.

I'll have to dig here and try to recreate, but I recall something funky with this a couple of weeks back when I was playing with the lights. There is a dedicated button on each of the left and right map lights in the overhead console. If I recall the passenger side light had an extra setting the drivers side didn't have. Maybe that was for the "Auto" interior lights.

THANK YOU!!! This was it!!
I remember seeing that button but it was backlit orange (while all the other light switches are backlit white), and to my weak eyes it looked like the emergency call button so I did not want to push it.

Glad that helped out. Truly after the night I was exploring the buttons I wanted to go see how Ford explained this in the manual and I forgot. My eyes are getting older and having to tilt my head to look through the multifocal glasses just doesn't let me see those buttons well. They are horribly positioned. That whole console could use some angle and tilt toward the driver and larger lights or some better separation and tactile fell to them. I don't recall this being a problem at all on my 2014, but I've gotten older since then.
