Intelligent Backup Power compatibility with Standard Range Battery
Does anyone know if the standard battery is compatible with the Intelligent Backup Power? I know that the 80 amp Ford Charge Station Pro is required and that comes with the Extended Range battery but if one purchased the Ford Charge Station Pro separately would it work with the standard range battery but just with lower overall capacity.
Previous descriptions made it seem like Intelligent Backup Power was only available with the Extended Range battery but the new recently launched page on intelligent backup power doesn't seem to say it's limited to that battery.

Looks like Sun Run is only servicing 20 states and my state isn't 1 of them. So how is this going to work?

Ah that's awesome to hear. So a pro level trim adding the 9.6kw Pro Power Onboard makes the 74K min price point to get an ER battery less of a pill to swallow. Looks like you need 2 items for it to work 1 Home Integration System 2 Ford pro charger. I would guess those items will be $2000-4000. But I have no real knowledge of actual cost.

I’ve seen that you can buy the Pro charger and have intelligent backup enabled on standard range, but did not see that the 9.6 kW PPO upgrade is required.Yes. I have not seen the charge port and I don't know that they've noted, but regardless of what the port looks like you'll likely be able to use a J1772 adapter which means you'll likely be able to use any 3rd party charger. I'm guessing they use the same port as the MachE but I haven't looked over there either. For fast charging they may have a CCS plug on them - which I believe you'd again be able to get a J1772 adapter and use any number of 3rd part at home connectors/chargers.Are there other charger options? That is the CCS1 standard port. The top part is basically a J1772 port which almost every home charger (except Tesla) will use. So buy the charger you like at the amperage you need. can i use the car power.. only in emergencies.. like i can't manually switch it on when i want to take power from the truck?
