Yes. Any truck with the 9.6 kW Prep Power Onboard will function the same for Intelligent Backup Power.
SunRun is not the only company that can do the work. However, they may have an edge on competitors that slows the process of finding a different installer.Looks like Sun Run is only servicing 20 states and my state isn't 1 of them. So how is this going to work?
Ah that's awesome to hear. So a pro level trim adding the 9.6kw Pro Power Onboard makes the 74K min price point to get an ER battery less of a pill to swallow. Any word on how much the 80amp Ford Charge Station Pro as a stand-alone item will cost?Yes. Any truck with the 9.6 kW Prep Power Onboard will function the same for Intelligent Backup Power.
Can you verify where you saw that mentioned? I’ve seen that you can buy the Pro charger and have intelligent backup enabled on standard range, but did not see that the 9.6 kW PPO upgrade is required.Yes. I have not seen the charge port and I don't know that they've noted, but regardless of what the port looks like you'll likely be able to use a J1772 adapter which means you'll likely be able to use any 3rd party charger. I'm guessing they use the same port as the MachE but I haven't looked over there either. For fast charging they may have a CCS plug on them - which I believe you'd again be able to get a J1772 adapter and use any number of 3rd part at home connectors/chargers.Are there other charger options? Or do I have to get a Ford charger for my home?

The Lightning's charge port is the same as the Mach-E and pretty much any non-Tesla EV. Third party home chargers won't be an issue for the Lightning. Are there other charger options? Or do I have to get a Ford charger for my home?

That is the CCS1 standard port. The top part is basically a J1772 port which almost every home charger (except Tesla) will use. So buy the charger you like at the amperage you need. The full port is what will get you the fast DC charging from stations like Electrify America. The Lightning's charge port is the same as the Mach-E and pretty much any non-Tesla EV. This is correct. Unless you’re wanting the Intelligent Backup. Then you’ll need the Ford Charge Station Pro in order to utilize that feature, along with the proper home install. That is the CCS1 standard port. Thanks. Is that from eSourcebook or some dealer job aid? I would like to track it down to confirm that’s accurate and/or what it’s implying. As I’ve not seen any other references to that requisite.

I saw a video online reviewing the truck that mentioned the Pro Charger being able to be purchased separately for b/w $1000-$1500. Not sure how accurate that is. Not sure installation cost.Ah that's awesome to hear. So a pro level trim adding the 9.6kw Pro Power Onboard makes the 74K min price point to get an ER battery less of a pill to swallow.
