Still a few months from delivery. Wondering what is the process of installing the Charge Station Pro Charger. Do I get it with the car? Can I use my electrician that installed my Tesla Charger to do the same? he only charged like $400 for installation before. Why spend more with Ford recommended installer. My car will be parked right next to my electrical box. Charging port will be within 6 feet from the electrical box

The charger will (hopefully) be sent to your house. Any electrician or confident home owner can install it. I installed mine and my house hasn't burned down yet. 😁

The charger ships after you take delivery. You can use any installer you want but it will probably cost a lot more then $400. Higher amp circuit, wire, etc.

You are lucky to have it 6 ft away! Dramatically cut the cost of the wire and the energy loss.

6 feet is a dream come true! My wire run was about 50+ feet from my 200 amp service. Installer used 2 inch conduit with #2 wire and it cost $3000 in labor and materials. I was happy to pay it if, for no other reason, to not have to use Sunrun. Their bid was actually ridiculous ... not to mention the unprofessional manner in which they handled the whole matter. Shouldn't be too tough of an install for you.
