Hello All!
What is a reasonable cost to install Charging Station? I'll been told from everything from $450-$1800! How do you confirm an Electrician is qualified to perform the installation?

it all depends on where the install is located, where other existing electrical lines and panels are located, etc... there is no 'standard' cost to run electrical - everyone's situation is totally different. Electrical is electrical - there is nothing 'special' about installing any EVSE charger. If you're like me, you do the work yourself if you are confident and capable. If you are not, you hire someone. When you say 'charging station', what exactly are you referring to? Just the outlet to plug your EVSE into? A full-on 80amp PRO Charger from Ford?
A simple NEMA 14-50 outlet wired to a 50amp 240v breaker set is the easiest 'install'. You then plug your Ford Mobile 30amp Charger into it and away you go.

Ask them about their prior experience installing EVSEs. Ask them key questions about how they will do your installation. Check their references.

As time goes on we are learning there ARE special things about EVSE installations. I encourage you to watch this video before hiring an electrician:

I will also state the obvious that the cost varies by geographical location and you pay the “EV tax” for installing a charger.

For example, for me in the SF Bay Area running a 40ft 50amp circuit and mounting an EV charger I can get quotes of over $3000, but none were cheaper than $1500.

If I want to run a 100amp circuit (for the full 80amps) that would reach into the $5000+ range
