Maybe a stupid question and apologies if discussed before.

i have a lariat on order (august production ) with the extended range battery. I know I’ll get the charge station pro. I’m assuming I’ll also get the mobile cord as well but can anyone confirm?

Yes you will get both the mobile and Pro, however the PRO DOESN'T ship with the truck. You have to get that from Sunrun, which is what i'm doing now.

I ordered a Lariat ER. When I try to order my charger, Sunrun says "Sorry, we’re not in your area yet. We hope to service your area soon. In the meantime, use the links below to explore other installation options." and then lists a link for "find a local electrician" which literally just takes you to a google search of local electricians and a link to buy the inverter (which I have purchased to ship to my house). How am I supposed to order the charger then? The dealership said that they didn't know if the charger comes with the truck or not (they sound like they have no idea what's going on). Any insight would be appreciated, as my truck has been shipped, should arrive before the end of June...

From what others on the forum who have taken delivery are saying, if I’m not mistaken, when the trucks are delivered to the dealership they will not have the charge station pro with them (only the mobile charger). When the owner takes delivery, they sign a form saying you understand the charger is not with the truck and will be shipped by SunRun. I’m not sure if the truck owner is required to contact SunRun or if this process is automated once the truck is delivered but it’s very disappointing and frustrating for first time EV owners as charging with the mobile charger is not ideal and I expect it will be weeks after the truck comes before the charger comes. Plus then waiting for an electrician to come out and install the charge station pro.

I had the same experience, however I have my truck and my garage is wired. All I need is the station. You’re right they were vague, which tells me they don’t have the chargers either. They said fill out the form and we’ll contact you. I received and immediate generic reply. Which I gave a detailed reply to. It’s only been 3 working days so I’m being patient. BTW, they only service 22 states. I’m not one of them.

I am in Wisconsin and that is a Sunrun state. But when I provided my zip code they said they do not service my area and referred me to a third party. So even with Sunrun in 22 states, they are not completely in those states. I agree that there is way too much confusion around receiving the Charge Station Pro. Ford really screwed the pooch when they partnered with Sunrun on this.

Well in fact if they do just ship it to us, then I think we’ll all be fine. It’s just a matter of how long it will take. In Ford’s defense they wanted to give us an option for those of us that are clueles, even though most know enough to just hire an electrician. I had my electrician connect the stubbed out wires to an outlet ( for the mobile charger) and I have a temporary solution while I wait. At least I have the truck and I love it.

I just wish there was better communication with the dealerships. Even if it takes a few weeks after I get the truck, that's fine, I would just like a heads up about what to expect.

There was a fairly detailed bulletin Ford sent to the dealers floating around. Perhaps it's communications within the dealership. That being said, it's time the owners of the first delivered trucks should have been contacted by sunrun/somebody to let them know where their Charge Station Pro is. My bet is they're back-ordered.

Yup, that’s my bet too. It’s okay though because we have our trucks and a mobile charger. It’s charging just fine.

Have you had any luck with SunRun shipping you the Charge Station Pro? I have not and can't get my assigned person to call or write me back with an ETA. I have my truck since Monday 6/6 and my electrician is scheduled. Spoke to Ford Customer Service and they gave me a different SunRun number but I got the same run around. 855-341-0237. All I want is communication. Ford was reading me thwhat is supposed to happen and it sounds like there is a survey that is needed. My understanding this is the routine:

1. Four (might have been 3) weeks before they ship the Truck to you they will call you and setup a survey. (I live in Southern NJ so your mileage may vary)
2. They came out and did the survey even though I have my own installer.
3. I received a Docusign to sign for the SOW last week. I looked at the document and it did not have many details in it but, to me, it looked like they were doing the install. I did not sign it.
4. I have been calling for 2 weeks now but can't get the one person that is processing my order. I kind of think she does not exist. In any case, I got ahold of a few people who provided her phone and email. I also asked for her Manager's email after insisting to talk to the SOD (Supervisor on duty). No response to email and when I dialed the number, it was "leave you message prompt only". I did not leave a message. I also emailed Emma's manager. That was yesterday.
5. Called Ford who gave me the different number for SunRun and spoke to someone who sees notes in my file and will ask them to call or email me with the shipping details.

All I want is to know when. It should not be this hard.

Check out the What’s New listings on this forum. There’s a post regarding taking delivery in June on an ER and not receiving the CSP. Ford is stepping up with some help. It’ll make me pretty content.

Those of us who received trucks without the FCSP are in two camps. Those with existing 50 amp outlets or other EV charger in their garage and those with only 110 outlets. For the former group it’s no big deal because using the travel charger to charge at ~40 amps is practical (for most). Those in the latter group are in a bind. They either have to pay an electrician twice (first to install a 50 amp circuit/outlet, then again to install the FCSP), run out to a (hopefully) close DC fast charger or wait nearly a week to recharge on 110 AC.
I thought I was in the first group until I discovered my 240 outlet was setup to burn the house down.

Bummer, but you need to get that fixed regardless and while they're at it they can rough in for the CSP and just throw an outlet on the end of the cable going out of the wall. Piece of cake and yes a licensed electrician did this.

Did you ever investigate what size wire you had running to your 6-50 receptacle? It could be as easy as installing a $20 40-Amp breaker in the panel. Your electrician may give you a very reasonable price on it with his contract to do the rest of the work. There could be several good reasons that 20 Amp breaker was in there.

Yes, he already posted that the wires are way under the size needed for a 50A load.
