I was recently lucky enough to order a 2023 Lightning Pro with the only option being 9.6kW Pro Power. I want to qualify for my EV state rebate that is capped at $50K MSRP including options (Destination is not included). I would have ordered 9.6kW Pro Power + the Max Trailer Package, but it puts me $124 the limit :-(. Any thoughts how I can get under the limit? I have already eliminated the mobile charger. I don't plan on towing, but I do like the 360 camera, and LED lights that come with the Max Tow Pkg. I want the 9.6kW for its capabilities as a battery backup and even as a EV recovery charging vehicle. IMHO: It is one of the best features/options of the Lightning.

Was this you answering your own question? The answer really depends on your needs for the vehicle.

I need to see how the trucks without towing package handle thermal loading. So high speeds on really hot days for long distances, then charging performance, with more high speed driving after and show there is no cooling issues without the extra cooling systems for towing. If it is good in normal use without hauling then it would meet my needs majority of the time, while 9.6kW would be great for so many things. Long days tailgating without generator seems great to me.

Get rid of the tow tech package and get the max tow and the 9.6kwh. The tow tech package adds 360 cam and front parking sensors but those aren’t worth 2000.
Can you add the max tow to a vehicle that doesn't have the tow tech package?

Don't plan on towing, just want the 360 cam, sensors, and LED Mirror lights. I can add the max tow for future resell value and if it helps keep things cool during fast charging.

I'd order Towing Technology Package bells and whistles ahead of Pro Power and Max Tow. Too bad the forced combination of Pro Power and Max Tow Package puts you over the top. I'd sacrifice Max Tow if you can't have both, albeit reluctantly. I think I read your question correctly.

yes, but it requires the 9.6kwh pro power.
I had 360 degree camera in my raptor and it was nice but haven't missed it in my f250.
Good to know about 360 degree camera, I actually have never had a vehicle with it. How come Ford requires 9.6kW pro power with max tow package but not vice versa? Is it possible the 9.6 pro power comes already with some additional cooling capability?

I really like the front parking sensors and would not do without that 360 camera, its a must for me. I use it everyday to park in our tight parking spots at work as well as when backing my truck out at the end of the day. I also think the max tow package is a no brainer, the extra cooling for the battery has been repeatedly mentioned by numerous EV professionals as super important for battery longevity.

9.6 - I would want the potential to use that over the potential of actual towing. However the main reason I wanted the max tow was for the additional cooling.

Apparently so, its seems that they should just combine the tow packages and create a separate 360 Cam + LED Mirror option.
I wish they had that option, not everyone that owns a truck wants to tow.
Eliminate the mobile charger. That's $500 that you can buy at dealership later and not on your MSRP.
I eliminated the mobile charger already, thanks! Can Ford eliminate the space tire to lower MSRP . These optioned packages weren't an issue until the price increases bumped me up to the $50k limit. BTW: If I don't select Tow Tech Package (TTP), does this base model still come with the onboard scales and smart hitch removal? I have read it does and doesn't. If so that's a benefit of not selecting the TTP and sticking with my only option 9.6 Pro Power.
