I wanted the pro, but dealer said ford called them and they they can give me a standard or extended lariet only.

do i do it?

I will get the 7500 and no price increase of the 2023's. iif i dont like it , i can always sell if after a year or so (and hopefully not lose too much money)

if you are in need of a truck “right now” I’d contemplate it, but otherwise I’d stick to the Pro, but that’s my personal preference,

I realized it after it let me order a XLT on the ford site on April 5th after orders were to be closed just to get one for 2022 but afterwards I came to find out it was a Ford site error and couldn’t actually order. I was happy after I realized I really did want to just wait for the MY23 Pro and that it didn’t fill.

If you can swing a monthly payment on a Lariat, it will hold value over a year, maybe two.
The tax credit basically covers taxes and some depreciation.
I'd personally love to have the option of ordering any Lightning today...

I saw in the order tracker a few got a pro in wave 1 in early January 2022 but most were Fleet, I’m taking my chances once orders open again as I was in wave 2 and opted to Extended Reservation for a Pro since I don’t need the truck immediately. I’ve been in occasional communication with my dealer whom even said they would notify asap when orders open again to get a Pro

Pro is open to regular customers. Pro with Extended Range battery is fleet only, at least for now. However, all of the regular customer allocations for 2022 Pros were sold out in Wave 1 as @Wiseguy said.

I basically got the same call like this from my dealer yesterday. Sounded like I was in for a Lariat, but then when I insisted on ER battery, they were not sure if they could order or not. They said they'd call back, but nothing yet. Also possible I'll get an invite form Ford to order if they were able to figure it out. Sounded like Ford gave them 2 more allocations for unknown reasons.

Not yet - I keep checking my ford account. Dealer said I should get an email to place order in about a week.

interesting, too, as many of us PRO standard range battery orders have been consistently pushed back, and back, and back, on our build dates: presumably because the higher ER vehicles are getting build priority - it sounds odd, though, that now the ER is having commodity constraints, and yet we SR packs for the PRO are still being pushed back. My original build week was 5/30... so 'why' would they continually push it back 5 times to July 25th week?? Crazy. I was one of the very FIRST orders for this Lightning back in early January, and invited to San Antonio to drive one and 'drink the cool-aid', and yet, my truck is certainly NOT a priority for Ford.

I got the surprise call on 6/9. Had to be a Lariat ER, which is exactly what I wanted. They said I should see the email from Ford in coming days to complete the order selections. I have not seen that yet... did you get the email yet?
