So, if someone hypothetically had gotten the vehicle activated before and connected with FordPass app before shipping, and was able to see it on the map in Michigan then on rail car tracks in nearby states etc. Would that be 100 accurate location data? Why wouldn’t they just activate so we could excitedly watch progress and plan? As an Easter egg for the reservation holders (and to eliminate CS calls)

is there something with the truck “sleeping” and would prevent updating location info?

You can put in the VIN and add it to your FordPass. The hiccup is the fact that someone has to hit the activation button on the screen to link it to the app. Im just waiting on some nice tech or truck driver to hit Accept or Activate on mine.

I may know of that rare case! Doesn’t apprear to have moved much today… sitting in Fort Wayne, IN all day. The anxious new owner is trying to be patient. Even if you unlock/lock it seems there
Is some message about sleep mode. Even trying to update location at says “last updated 3 hours ago”

I took delivery and have mine, it does go to sleep and stop communicating. You can "wake it up" by locking and unlocking it...but you might not want to do that if it is on a truck somewhere.

It might be better not knowing...I got surprised when the sales manager accepted my activation request from FordPass. When I looked at the location, it was in NJ. The email I got from Ford said Mid-July, so it was like Christmas came early.

It is worth the wait...

Lol. I like your style. It’s made it to GA finally today. About 50 miles from the dealer. I wonder how long it’ll take them to call me? I also happen to know it has 22 miles… any bets on what it’ll be delivered with?

Same thing happened to me- someone accepted my invitation when they loaded her on the convoy and by them time I realized it- she was waiting at the dealership. Christmas came in June! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
