How often should you charge to 100%? (Other than Trips)

From what I understand its best, for the sake of the battery, that whenever you have to charge the truck its best to only charge to 90%, but I wanted to know if anyone knows has read if its ok to charge to 100% once every month, or every other month, etc. for like a maintenance type of test on the battery.

From what I remember they said to only try and charge to 100% when you know you'll be taking a long trip.

What works for me is the most common advice, keeping it between 20-80%; charge more when you need the range. Charge to 100% and you get on the road 'pretty soon'. Ford says it's OK to charge to 90% regularly. I guess the ICE equivalent is people who get gas when the gauge moves much below FULL. I know about how much range+buffer I need and don't charge above 80% unless I'll need it.

Most of the advice and what you'll find on Google is from the Tesla world where you don't want to charge to 100% unless you need it. It is a little different from Ford, because they don't give you access to all you paid for. They don't trust their consumers and they need to protect themselves, so they don't give you full access to 100% of your battery. So when you charge to 100% in the Ford you are several percentage points below true 100. I still wouldn't go to 100 often and let it sit there because most of the time it just isn't needed. 20 to 80 is the sweet spot and if you don't need anything beyond that, then stick to the tried and true. If you need 90, go to 90, but only if you need it.

There’s no need to charge to 100% except when you have to for long trips.

As the above have said I only charge to 100% as needed. On average that may occur once every 2 months.
