Has anyone had their Home Integration System installed? I am especially interested in someone who has a solar array connected to the bi-directional inverter. My biggest question is can anyone confirm that when the main grid goes down and the intelligent back up power activates (assuming the truck is hooked up to the CSP), will the truck charge if the solar array is producing electricity? I consider it unlikely that this will happen, but would like to know if someone can confirm for sure the truck will not charge even if the solar array is producing electricity.

One step further….
Can the solar array and microgrid integration device supply power to the “critical load panel” if the truck is not connected to the CSP?

awesome. i also have solar panels, plan to get the system but really want to know if the panels will stay on or not when you cut the power.
My understanding is that the solar array will continue to provide power to the “critical loads panel” during the daytime, but I’m not sure if the truck has to stay plugged in for this to be the case. Would be nice if solar array powered critical loads without truck during outage, then truck provides power after dark.

is the critical loads panel something you had previously or something your getting now as part of the backup?

I have those same solar edge inverters, but they just go to the meter and supply power to the house and then back to the grid of the house doesnt need it.

also please update the thread when its operational and tested with the grid off to see what the panels do.

I will be adding a critical loads panel.
And you are right , my solar edge inverters will not provide any type of off grid power. Essentially I will have two separate solar systems.

One system will be 40 JA 405 watt solar panels, connected to the solaredge inverters. This system will only operate when the grid is live and will be wired to one of my 200 amp service panels (I have 400 amp service, meaning 2 200 amp panels in my garage)

The other solar system will be 10 JA 405 watt solar panels connected to the Home Integration System and a critical loads panel pulling loads from the other 200 amp panel (the two types of solar inverters, solaredge and the FORD delta inverter cannot be wired to the same panel according to my design engineer). This system will allow critical loads to be backed up by the truck at might during an outage and then Powered by solar during the day IF the truck is plugged in. Unfortunately I have no way to charge my truck if the grid is down for an extended period, I would have really liked this but it would have required a solaredge energy hub inverter and backup interface which would have cost me significantly more for my install.

i Will continue to update as the install progresses.

thats sounds like what sunrun told me too, we wont touch your existing panels but we'll sell you MORE panels to do the battery backup. I have 52 panels, i dont need anymore.

They told me this too, that they won't touch my existing solar. It is technically possible to integrate it but you have to find an independent electrician to do so. I guess that is my next step, to find someone...
