I travel for work and this is what I find at the hotel parking lot while working in Charlotte this week. This person decided to keep me from getting into the truck on driver side crazy part is they must have had to get out on passenger side. I ended up getting in on passenger side not so easy at 6’2 230 lbs. since when did driving an electric vehicle become such a political statement. Almost tempted to taking off the lightning badges 😀

All good points so I have been driving an F150 now going on 15 years never had any issues. I do not back in as it blocks the sidewalks with the truck bed. I always leave room for the other car drivers door. I spend about 150 nights in hotels a year all over the country. I think I’m pretty good at respecting parking rules just saying

I believe you and I’m not poking fun at you or anything. Just working based off of what I can see in the pic!

StanT, love ya man, and respect what you do, but damn... I have to weigh it with the others. If driver #1 parks poorly (on the line as in the picture) driver #2 should definitely not "move over" to accommodate for the poor parking of the 1st vehicle, as this just cascades the problem down the line. When I encounter this, I am the guy in the Dodge; I park in the center of my spot and let the driver of the mis-parked vehicle next to me suffer the consequences of his vehicle placement. I have even done this to friends, so please don't be offended lol.

This also seems like it is because it is a truck, not an EV.

For years I've parked away from people because I don't want to deal with situations like this. I have a coupe and the door is bigger than normal and when I'm trying to get in and out I need to swing that open.
Most people suck and don't care about hitting your car. I was about to say "where are you" but i can see MD and then year, large area of dicks around here, especially ones with those types of trucks. I'm also assuming the RAM is from PA cause of no front plate and there are plenty of out of state plates everywhere and they irritate me all the time.

You are on the line, true, but they could have just parked somewhere else. Maybe there was no other spot available, so who knows.

I've had trash thrown at me by someone else in another truck at the stop light, while leaving a store parking lot. Maybe also unintentional, or at least not aimed at me (still reprehensible though, but maybe just something they do, and not aimed at others in traffic).

Parking lot stall widths are generally regulated by local zoning ordinances. Because businesses want the cheapest parking lot for the required number of spaces, they always go for the minimum width stalls allowed by code.
Lobby your local building authorities for 9' or 9.5' minimum width parking stalls. A lot of codes are 8' and some even still allow 7.5' or even 7' wide stalls which are way too small these days for modern SUVs and trucks.

This is ONE of the reasons that I park faaaaar away from everyone else. My ex hated going to stores with me because I always park at the furthest from the entrance. You'll never see door dings in my autos because I never park close where everyone else wants to park. I want to protect my investments as much as possible.
