Has anyone had the misfortune of having their car either stolen or vandalized? If so, what happened and how did everything end?

When I was young I had a Civic for a brief period that got swiped barely 2 months after buying it. Never saw it again but fortunately I didn't pay a lot for it. Insurance cut me a check and I was able to get a slightly better model with the money.

Mid-90s I had my new F-150 get keyed in a parking lot by some bored hoodlum. Was annoying as F.

I'd be fun if @Ford Motor Company does implement some security measures like dashcam footage, that if it detects it is dark enough also turns on all the zone lighting. Maybe even strobe it.

I was curious about this last night cause I hadn't done it yet. My driveway is pitch black. I couldn't see my truck (as big as it is and red), I turned on the zone lighting and that is bright. I actually felt bad cause it was after 10 and I hope the light didn't bother my neighbors. I quickly turned it off. I would think it would blind someone next to the truck if it was dark enough.

Tesla’s use of the cameras for monitoring is a major draw on the battery.

The Lightning has very low battery draw while parked. Mine lost 1% SOC in 4 weeks of sitting parked and unused.

It would be nice if Ford followed Tesla’s lead and used all of the cameras and lights as Sentry mode. Many vandals of Teslas have been caught due to the video recordings captured.
