doubtful, as I just tweeted @JimFarley to ask WHY my very early order of the PRO keeps getting pushed back from the original 5/30, to 6/6, then 6/13, then again to 6/20, and then a kick in the stomach to 7/4, and now, just TODAY, a push back of ANOTHER THREE WEEKS to the end of July, 7/25.... and this is AFTER they invited me to San Antonio to 'drive' the Lightning, to report on it, and to provide online 'feedback' for Ford. Do they REALLY expect me to be positive if all I ever see is MORE and MORE delays to my build?? I'm about ready to just give up.

I HAVE, though, seen a PRO on a dealer's lot in Orlando - opened the doors, felt the nice vinyl seating, looked at the humongous rear storage with the seating stored, and opened the 'frunk' with the button on the inside. It was nice, and I have been excited for so many months, but at the same TIME, when you are constantly pushed and pushed and pushed and now your SUMMER camping season will be OVER by the time the truck is even scheduled to be built, if that 7/25 date itself even holds up, you CAN'T continue to be positive.

I was just listening to a guy who say no one is going to get them, its just a marketing strategy to get people to get excited about the lightning's. Well go figure here is a 42K out the door electric truck that can go 250 miles WHAT A DEAL. But what if it was just a scheme, to get you to really want one, now you have to go to an xlt which is 55K and up and up.

It was interesting to listen to and why I made that post. Will be interesting to see if people actually get them.

Yeah but has anyone ever gotten one for themself. What if the PRO was only supposed to go to dealers as demos and then after 6 months they can sell them for as much as they want to.

Like putting the carrot out in front of the house to get them to move.

the PRO is simply the first to 'sale out' of the trim levels, but ALL have for 2022 now... we're just seeing mostly Platinums and Lariats in customer's hands, as they are the high-dollar units that Ford can book as 'sold'... the PROs are also being built, and yes, 'some' will go to dealers, if that's what the dealer wanted, but most dealers will be getting the higher trim models to show off - the FLEET customers are the ones that are eating up a lot of the PRO level models - they can order 5, or 25, or 500 at a time. Mine will be here, it's just a matter of when.

There are a lot of YouTube folks who have learned they get more views if they say outrageous or stupid things that have no basis in the truth.

no doubt that this process is aggravating, disheartening, disappointing, and even today, MADDENING when you 'expect' something to work one way, and it seems that it makes no sense how it eventually pans out. The lack of information is really what most annoys most of us - it feels as though we could 'handle' it better if we actually knew more about 'why' things are happening...

Build the Lariats and Platinums first, get them sold first.

yes, agreed...though I don't like it since I originally had a PRO build week of 5/30.... now it's 7/25, if THAT even holds. Second quarter optimization, I can't blame them...though, I don't like it. My summer will be gone.

I'll agree also on the 'low supply', as we've all seen those 'to go' restaurants were the only advertisements now are 'Help Wanted - HIRING today! - $20 per Hour starting' ... with $1,000 sign on bonus and immediate 'move up' in the ranks. Taco Bell showed me that the other day. I was the only one standing at the inside order counter, and it still took 15+ minutes to make three simple tacos for me, while 12 cars rolled thru the drive-up window in the meantime. We know where the efforts lie now.
I've also, as an insurance agency owner, applied for several Life and LTC and Annuity policies lately, with a BIG slowdown and aggravation with the lack of employees able to handle the underwriting and issuance, not to include the fact that the EXAM companies have a BIG LACK of employees onboard now, with exam scheduling being MORE than a month out from the date of application. The customer could be dead by then. : /

Sorry to hear you were also pushed to 7/25. I am in the same situation, originally 5/30, now 7/25, even in the same cadence for the way they pushed back the date. Same build as you, just a different color. Reserved the moment the website was up on 5/19/2021, and ordered the first wave, on the first day it was possible. Agree that the summer will be over, and I won’t be able to use it for any of my trips to the beach and what not with the kids.

I agree the Lariat will be the highest produced model but an article from early May stated 1 in 5 Lightning’s that were in production were Pro model. The article even confirmed the Lariat had the highest production mix. These could be for Fleet purchases but I’m still being optimistic I’ll get a Pro (even more hopeful but highly doubtful to have an ER option for MY23)

OK, so no one has gotten a Pro yet. Lots of opinions, predictions, and prognostications though. :) I haven't gotten any dealer to say that is the plan, that Pro's are just there exclusively as bait. But if not one single one has gotten into a customer's hands, it sure seems accurate.

My Pro updated to “In Production” and the sticker finally populated, with a blend date of 7/27. Nowhere close to delivery, but at least some progress. Initially planned for 5/30 production, but pushed back.
