When useing Hands Free it goes on and off sometimes. Sometimes it stays on fine, other times it goes on and off every few miles on the same route. Issue?

you must be referring to 'BlueCruise'.... which is Adaptive Cruise with 'hands free' Steering(Lane Centering), but only on MAPPED ROADWAYS within Ford's software... you are probably experiencing those times when the system cannot determine if 'this' road, or section of road, is part of the system.... or, it is determining that you don't have your EYES on the road.

you can, though, turn off BlueCruise and simply use the normal 'Adaptive Cruise', although you'll see that it requires you to periodically 'torque' the steering wheel to let it know you are 'still there' : )

Yes I am refering to BlueCruise. The part I am having issue with is I drive the same route everyday (130 miles round trip) and some days it only flakes out a time or two, and some days it goes on and off very often. Part of the selling point was the BlueCruise, cruise control and lane centering is a common feature on almost every vehicle now days.

Low sun blinding camera.

Missing or very faint road lines, or covered with snow when it is winter.

Wet road with bright sun obscuring lines.

Construction, putting you on the wrong side of the highway.

The road I travel is 100% on the mab as covered. No road conditions and truck is clean. I did not know it uses cameras, I was attributing it to satellite or radio waves for guidance. That was why I was thinking it was cutting in and out. Now that I know it is camera guided I don't know what to attribute it to. This morning it rarely came on.

I have also found that Blue Cruise Hands Free turns off at about 83mph, which makes sense.
You’re lucky. It’s supposed to cut out at 80.

Thank yall for your reply, and yes I have noticed it does not mater the posted speed limit. We actually have a toll road here with a posted speed limit of 80mph, but Blue Cruise cuts out at 81.
Yes, by design. BC has an 80mph limit.
