I’m trying to figure out where I am I the queue. I put deposit on Rivian and on a Lightning as a backup and I’m not sure I’m going to get the lightning because Rivian is slated for Nov-Dec delivery. I’m also not interested in spec’ing one out and then trying to flip for a profit.

Does anyone have some ideas (seriously) on what you would do? I don’t want to walk away from Lightning order until Rivian is closer to being a done deal but I’m not ready to cancel the lightning yet. They say I have until Sept 26 to pick the specifications..

I’m looking for some ideas / suggestions please. I saw another post where someone mentioned asking the dealer to pay, me not to take delivery so they can sell it.

I received the same email and thought, “okay, here we go!” only to spend several days really thinking about what I want to order, negotiating with my SO and then jumping back to the email to realize that it was just a survey. Mainly what options are you interested in and what deposit changes would do to your decision to order vs cancel. No information in return.

This survey is not an invitation to order, but rather sounds like a way for dealers/Ford to identify people who are only interested in the lower trim lines (which may no longer be available for '23) and pass them over when their time comes in the queue. If you're interested in the Lariat or Platinum it may be a way to get an order placed sooner.

I didn’t get the survey email. Day nine reservation holder.
I'm day 1 and still no word from Ford or dealer.....makes you think twice for future purchases...in the end consumer will prevail (look at Toshiba, Sony, JVC, Philips....all overshadowed by Google, Apple, Samsung & Tesla. Consumers will make or break a business)

He said wave 3 is today......that was the most important info!

You all were correct, it was just a survey but I had the sense they are going to tease out information that might change future orders/deposits and or affect delivery. Attaching screen shot of some of the more interesting questions just so you can see.
