Got my rolling-off-the-assembly-line photo from Ford two weeks ago. That has got to be one of the coolest forms of manufacturer provided excitement, and it is now somewhere between Dearborn and California. Delivery, per my dealer, was to be first week of October (next week!!!!)

Will try to post more photos after we take delivery. Bit of an understatement to say that we're excited. This isn't our first EV, though. We still have our 2010 Nissan Leaf. Now it will have to share the garage.

I’ve received my email that my Lightning has shipped 10/3 but no picture included. Does Ford always send a picture of your truck when it’s coming off the line? When done’s Ford email the picture. Thanks

Well,
My ship date was 10/1 - 10/7 and the truck did not show up last week. Just checked online and now my arrival dates are between 10/8-10/14. Hopefully they are going to just keep pushing it back week after week. I sold my Tacoma a week ago!!

And.... it's here!!!! We're loving it (especially our dog).

First impression: it's great! Honestly, it just feels like a new truck, and that's no insult. We already have an older electric car (Leaf) and I'm coming from an '07 F150 Lariat. The Lightning has the size and feel of driving a brand new F150 with the expected acceleration of an electric vehicle.

Oh yeah, there's also ALL the other bells and whistles that I need to learn.

Tried my first Blue Cruise commute this morning. It worked as advertised (my commute highway has hands free). I'm having a little trust issue, but that's me. The Lightning maintained lane centering and came to a complete stop as traffic stopped in front of me. But I was hovering my foot over the break and my hands over the wheel. o_O I'm sure I will get used this, but it does feel a bit like an amusement park ride. I'm an engineer and tend to overthink this level of technology.

As I have questions I'll look for other threads to post on, or create new ones. For now, we're excited to finally get to own and drive our new Lightning. Wishing everyone else the same success. It is truly worth the wait.

Congratulations!!! I have a similar looking collie that I know will love to ride in a truck! I think she will put her head out the back window. She now rides in a FFE since we sold our older truck and have been patiently waiting for the F150 Lightning so she can ride in the back when she gets muddy

yeah, first addition to the truck was a back seat cover (installed before the dog got her first ride!)
