Pull battery cable for a few seconds. Mine froze up the other day, and after a full off cycle it came back and has been fine since.

 

A longer off period woke it back up. I did speak with our local Ford service, apparently there are some bulletins regarding this, but our most recent update should have handled it. I didn't have the issue until after the update, so who knows. We are driving computers I guess

 

The computer in this 21 year old thing is more reliable than the ford computers of today

 

Computers that are not up to snuff in my opinion.

 

Like they say if all else fails, disconnect the LVB for a bit. Kind of like an IPL on older computers ....

 

Before leaping to the LVB disconnect, you should try a Sync Screen reboot. Not sure if that will impact the IPC, though.

 

Sync reboot doesn't do it. Need a full off (away from trunk for 30+ minutes) or a battery cycle if you are impatient.

 

The IT folks we work with in the military tell us to restart our computers daily…I anticipate Ford’s next bulletin giving us an option for master on/of switches be installed so we can do daily restarts…lol
