I thought I'd start a thread on things we'd like to see in the FordPass app. The latest version is 4.22.0 on iOS as of this writing. Let's talk about Bugs, Improvements or New Features we'd like to see.

I'll start with the app in the Home Screen on an iOS device. Currently, when you long press the app icon, it shows a menu with two shortcuts: Ford Credit (why? also, does not work for me) and Roadside Assistance. I think it would be more useful to show shortcuts to:

1. Remote Start
2. Remote Lock
3. Remote Unlock
4. Tailgate
5. Frunk
6. Horn and Lights

Basically, all the key fob buttons + remote start. As a security feature, I'd like to see the addition of FaceID auth when activating any of these buttons.

When the Lightning is plugged in and waiting to charge you can press to get more details. There is an option for "Charge to 100%". There used to be an option "Charge Now". I often want to start charging right away but am fine with the 80% charge limit I have as my normal preset.

I want my "Charge Now" back!

Definitely. It would actually be really cool if the app icon can dynamically change to show charge percentage. Kind of like how the Calendar app changes to reflect the current date.

One annoying thing I’d like to see change is the redundant “notifications” about a recent software update. I received my first one the other day and I was notified in 3 different places in the app: 1. Home tab, 2. Vehicle tab and 3. Message Center. And there also wasn’t a way to remove the notification from the Home tab or Vehicle tab. To make things better, I think the flow could be changed to:
1. Send an app notification and badge
2. Display the notification banner in the Home tab
3. Notification banner opens the Message Center where the user can read more details.
4. Create a site that shows version history, change log and known issues so users can reference them later.

Do you guys actually have Frunk and Tailgate control in your FordPass app? The only things I have are Lock, Start, and Horn / Lights.

Yup. Here’s what it looks like for me. I’ve always had them since I added the truck to the app.

Maybe an iPhone vs Android difference? Also could be truck software versions.

I only have the horn & lights button on my iPhone 12Pro with the PowerUp 3.5.2 on my early-build 2022 Lightning.

I don’t think that’s it, this is an iPhone thread and his screenshot looks like iPhone.
I also don’t have PaaK and not sure why, despite having the latest software. Have maxed out Lariat.

edit: Looks like no PaaK could be the reason? I have a pretty early build.

Could be it. Truck was built in August. I set up PaaK at the dealer when I picked it up last month. Looks like it came with whatever version was before 3.5.2 as I received that update a couple weeks later.

this info is already available when the truck is charging - it's under the charging blue ribbon that shows up in the bottom of the app, if you hit details it provides all the info related to the charging session (that is in progress or completed)

That only shows how many kWh have been added. What many of us would like to see is the current charging rate in kW. I'm charging on the mobile charger on a 50amp circuit, although that charger only delivers 32 amps. I have to calculate the average charging rate after it's all done and that is averaging 6kW/hr.

You can remotely start the truck, which will heat the cabin. I do agree turning on the max defrost would be a good button to have.

Maybe it's there and I just can't find it but I would really like it to show if it is currently locked or not. Bonus points for showing if windows are down or doors ajar.
