Back in 2019 Ford filed a patent for a "Vapor Injection Heat Pump And Control Method". The patent was filed on June 18th, 2019, published on February 22nd, 2022, and assigned serial number 11254190B2.
This could mean that a heat pump might be coming for Ford EVs or that Ford thought about it and decided to scrap it.
