What’s with Ford adding the mobile charger as an option for the 23 models when the 22’s came with it. That’s like buying a lawnmower with a battery but the charger is separate.

Lots of BEV owners already have EVSEs or plan to use something other than Ford's. Most cell phones and similar equipment don't come with USB charger bricks anymore, just the cord. It saves money by not giving folks things they won't use and including it in the cost. Seems like a good idea to me.

I think this is a good thing, it lets you pick your own brand/style of mobile cord. The Ford unit is not a great EVSE judged by either features or price, so this way you don't have to be stuck buying it.
