Is Ford underplaying the 0-60 time of the Lightning? Ford says it's around 4.5 seconds but I've seen some articles suggest that it's quicker than that.

Road and Track:

"Ford estimates a 0-60 time in the mid-four-second range, but the bigger-battery model—the one Ford had available for a brief first drive—feels quicker. Stomp the pedal at any speed under 50 mph, and the truck will briefly light up the front tires. Keep your foot in it, and you wouldn’t believe how quickly the 106-mph electronic speed limiter comes."

Motor Trend:

"And that 580-hp, big-battery bruiser? Ford says mid-fours to 60, but it also feels quicker than its estimate. Drop the hammer, and it'll even torque-steer ever so slightly, especially if you have weight in the bed or on the hitch. In fact, put enough weight in the back—like the 1,500 pounds of plywood we hauled, 67 percent of maximum payload—and it'll chirp the front tires any time you stand on the accelerator."

The guy that does PoV and was at the San Antonio event did 2 different 60s and one them was 4.1s. I can only imagine with a stickier front tires, warmer day and maybe a bit of weight in the frunk it could easily do sub 4.

Edit, hmmm can't find it now

Sport Mode? Traction Control on/off? Any other tweaks? I had a V10 Audi R8 start pulling away from me at about 50 mph lol.

Sport mode, 1PD off, auto hold off, didn't touch traction control.
Depressed brake, floor accelerator, truck hunches down as it preloads.
Release brake, truck chirps as it takes off.

The Rivian R1-T pulled ahead in the 0-30 and continued to slowly pull ahead through the 1/8th mile track.

Truck window was smashed at 1:30am. Called at 10a to make an appointment. It's now the next day at 1p and my truck is completely fixed and like new. What a turnaround! They even offered to (for free) wrap my window and clean out the glass in the interim while I waited on an appointment time.
