Early this morning I got an update from Ford motor company about my order, that it had been updated. I got all excited… clicked my email, went to the website, thinking I was gonna see it was in production. Nope… they increased the price of my vehicle to current MSRP plus my options and taxes and everything. I ordered it in September of 2022!!!!! WTH FORD!?

I got the email too, and was a bit excited thinking that my 9/7 order was going to finally in production.... only to find out the same... price increase

Now, I'm mixed as it seems price only increased by $100, and additionally, it's now stating that I could qualify for $2k state incentives, so I'd be looking at paying less.

What's not clear is what changed, but I did go through my original order screenshot and the new one. I found the following was the only change
  • Advanced Security Pack Inclination / Intrusion Sensor Removal
It would seem this change reduced my total options by $4k, but the base price increased by the same, and that the $100 would only be attributable by the increase in Destination and Delivery Charges.

So now some questions. Is the option listed for removal the reason for the $4k decrease in Total Options? Is this option now being included standard hence the $4k increase in Base MSRP? Again, not very clear what the full picture is, so not sure my initial frustration is justified until I hear more.

My 2¢
