Thanks. Trying to find a way to secure it /store it. Probably need some sort of camper shellWith a 5-1/2' bed, you can get a tailgate pad to place the board in the bed angled upwards and strap it in place. That will work for most boards. Some extra-long downwind or race boards may be too long to balance well that way. You can also add a bed-extender.
Alternatively you can carry the board on the roof.
Yea thanks. Day to day transport is fine. Objective is to keep it out of sight for longer range travel and not worry about theft.Racks. There are pretty good systems for the bed that are easily removed from Thule and Yakima. There are locking systems for those if I am not mistaken.
Nah my SUPs are 8’ plus. I think some kind of custom shell is the answer. Did you get a standard bed for the lightening?I surf so I get it. The main reason I went with the Lightning instead of the Rivian is the bed size. I want my boards inside the bed out of sight for the most part. Not sure if I’m going to get a cover of some kind. SUP’s are more difficult to keep out of sight due to their size. Or maybe you’re a ripper and you ride small equipment. 🤙
